Q21: Is it valid to say Seegah (formula) of Mut'ah/ permanent marriage in any language other than Arabic?

A: Yes, it can be recited in any language.

Q22: If one contract temporary marriage (mut'a) without choosing mahar (dowry) does it become void (batil)?

A: If the contract was based on not considering the dowry then it is void. If not mentioning the dowry was due to oblivion, shyness or any similar reason then the marriage contract is correct and the husband must pay his wife a dowry that is equal to a dowry paid for a woman with similar characters and circumstances.

Q23: I want to recite Seegha for muta (temporary marriage) on telephone in Order to do muta (temporary marriage). Is it required to give the decided Mahr (gift) to women as part of the contract on the same time or it can be given later?

A: The wife deserve the dowry as agreed. If the agreement was that it is to be paid at the time of the contract, then it must be given then and when the wife asks for it. If they agree on delaying the payment, then it is permissible to delay it.

Q24: Is it allowed to recite the Mutah formula - contract on the phone or to write it per email or chat?

A: It is valid if it was via telephone and not valid if it was via chat or email.

Q25: If I and my potential spouse do Mutah - temporary marriage and I send her Maher - Dowry through courier service. would we have to wait till she receives the Maher?

A: It is obligatory to include dowry in such marriage and it does not effect the marriage if it did not reach her yet.

Q26: If a man enters into a temporary marriage contract with a woman and have sexual intercourse can he afterwards(after the temporary marriage ends) enter into a permanent marriage contract with that woman's daughter? is it halal or haram.

A: When a man enroll in any kind of marriage contract with a woman, any kind of marriage contract with her daughter is invalid.

Q27: Is a temporary marriage contract valid if there was no witness at the time the man and woman utters the sighas?
Is witness compulsory in case of a temporary marriage contract?

A: Yes, it is valid without witnesses as it is not compulsory during marriage contract.

Q28: My husband would like to have a temporary wife to forfill certain urges. As a wife, do I have any right to say no?

A: Yes, you can refuse but the refusal of the wife is not a religious condition that prevents the temporary marriage contract.
