Supplication (Dua) (9):

Q1: Is it permissible for me to accept payment in respect to dua I made for someone?

A: Yes, it is permissible but it is better if the payment is given/taken as a gift.

Q2: Is dua tewessul mustahab to read and who made dua tewessul?

A: It is not possible for us to confirm that this supplication is said by an imam. Yes, it has been reported in some books that the said supplication is narrated by one of the imams (peace be upon them). It is known that invocating to Almighty Allah by the prophet or the imams (peace be upon them) is amongst the recommended deeds even if it was by other than this particular supplication.

Q3: I have read on internet that Imam Moosa-e-kazim(AS) gave this supplication 'SUBHANALLAH IL AZEEMI WA BIHAMDIHI, ASTAGHFIRULLAHA WA AS-ALUHU MIN FAZLIHI' to Abu Ghamgham for increase in sustenance. The author mentions that soon he received blessings of Almighty.
My Question - is if someone recites another supplication 100 or 500 times a day instead of the above invocation, will he get the same amount of blessings from Almighty in terms of bounty in sustenance and wealth ? or the first supplication given by holy imam(AS) will be more beneficial ?

A: The effect of substance and other effects of the supplication that is given by the imam (peace be upon him) shell happen with the permission of Allah. Other supplications are merely invocations to the Almighty Allah and it is good at all occasions and times.

Q4: If we pray to God and ask very ambitiously and humbly for something but our dua is not accepted then for how long should we continue to beg,or when should we think that this thing will not be given to us and we should leave praying. how long should we wait for. and if God gives us what he wants or thinks is better then why should we beg him for any of our wish? ?

A: We should always ask almighty Allah and seek His blessings and hope for his answer as this feeling is one of the reasons to His answer. And if we did not get the request answered, we stay on this condition as we are gaining the reward of the supplications even if we did not get the answer.
If we did not get what we wanted, we accept what almighty Allah's wish since He is indeed knows the best for us. With this acceptance to what He wanted, we gain the great reward that almighty Allah kept for whoever accept His desire. He is the most merciful.

Q5: If an unbeliever ask me to help him pray to Allah (dua) so that his legitimate desires be granted by Allah, can I do so? And if he gives me a gift as a result, can I accept it?

A: You can pray for their guidance and you can also accept their gifts. Religious narrations insist on good behavior with the unbelievers.

Q6: What is your opinion regarding the authenticity of Dua Adeelah? Is it from Imam? Does it has reliable Sanad? Is it 'sahih'?

A: Dua Adeelah that is mentioned in the supplication books is not related to an Imam. It is recommended to recognize the true beliefs when the person is dying, and all the time, whether this was by reciting Dua Adeelah or using other ways to strengthen the true belief in one’s soul and defeat the attacks of Satan and his mischief.

Q7: Can we ask Dua from the messenger of Allah, the Ahlulbyte and the imams?

A: Dua – supplication is a “request” and since almighty Allah is in charge of the universe and manages all creations, asking Him is directly. Request from others - like the prophets or the imams - is not permissible if the seeker considers them as independents in dealing aside from Almighty Allah. It is like considering a partner with Him. If the believer seek the intercession of the prophets and the imams, as they can ask the almighty Allah to fulfill the seeker’s needs or when the believer request from almighty Allah to fulfill his request by referring to the high rank of the noble personalities of the prophets and the imams, then these two kinds of Supplications - Dua are considered as worships.

Q8: How long should one ask for something important from almighty Allah?

A: Answering the supplication does not have a special time but if the believer insists on asking and seeking, then such supplication is closer to be answered.

Q9: What is the most effective supplication/Ziyarat?

A: There are lots of zyarats reported by the Ahlulbyte (Peace be upon them) like the Jamiaa, Warith and Ashura also there are lots of supplications like Kumail and the supplications of Sahifatul sajjadia.
