Prayers (32):
Q1:
What is the method to determine the best time for fajr prayer? |
A: It is better to perform the prayer at the first time of down. |
Q2:
If there are any consequences if salat al subh is not prayed at its fixed time? |
A: Whoever did not pray on time because he/she was asleep did not commit a
sin as he/she is excused because he was not awake, but at the same time, he/she did not get the rewards that almighty Allah is giving to whoever performed
the prayers on time. In a narration that the messenger of Allah
(peace be upon him) had said: “My intercession will not be granted – in the
day of judgment - to whoever delayed performing the obligated prayer after its designated time”. |
Q3:
Does it make a difference whether I wake up to pray salat al layl or whether I am still up at the time for it?? |
A: There is no difference between the two cases. |
Q4:
If time is short and I know my dress is Najis, should I make the dress paak - pure and then pray the qada of the salaat or should I just ensure that I perform salaat first so as to not make it qada and then wash my dress? |
A: Whoever possesses only an impure dress, the prayer is valid when the dress must be worn because of cold weather or other necessities. When the dress can be taken off, based on compulsory precaution, one should pray twice once without any dress and the other with the impure dress.
The mentioned necessity rarely occurs in our time since it is easy to have access to a covering material during prayer. If not a dress, it can be anything like sheets, blankets or similar things as long as the two loins are covered in the man and all the body is cover in the woman. |
Q5:
If someone prays with some sweat on his body and clothe during prayer, is there any objection to that? |
A: No, it is permissible. |
Q6:
I want to know that if someone have cat's hairs on his cloths , can he offer nomaz with those cloths? |
A: The prayer is invalid if there was cat's hair on the person's clothes based on compulsory precaution. |
Q7:
Men wearing rings in the ears is permissible or not. Is it Haram. Are we allowed to pray wearing rings in ears. If we pray wearing rings in ears is our namaz void |
A: The prayer is valid when wearing the ring although it is prohibited to wear it if it was to imitate women with the intention of femininity. |
Q8:
I'm a new Muslim I have been following Sunni Islam I have now read some books on Shia Islam and I would like to become a Shia but their is no Shia Masjid (mosque) where I live can I still pray like a Sunni and go to the Sunni Masjid? |
A:
You can visit Sunni mosques but you should pray according to the sect of the Ahlulbyte (peace be upon them) as your association to their path imposes you to do so, because they are the smaller amongst the two weighty things that the prophet (peace be upon him) commend us to refer to. |
Q9:
Is it better for a woman to pray NAMAZ (Prayers) at
the MASJID (Mosque) or at her house? |
A:
The women's prayer at home is better than her prayer at the
mosque. |
Q10:
When I am saying adhan at the beginning of prayer do I add "ashhado anna aliyun waliyallah" is it vital? or is the belief that he is the wali of Allah enough and does not need to be recited in adhan before prayer? |
A: It is still recommended to recite “Ash hadu Anna Aliuan waliyallah” in the adhan but not with the intention of being part of the adhan. It is recommended just like reciting the blessing upon the holy prophet - Selewat after mentioning his name in the adhan. |
