Beliefs (11): |
Q1:
I'd like to know if the fact of believing in Allah is innate? |
A: There is no doubt that believing in almighty Allah is innate. It grew up with the human being. Such feeling could weaken or even dissolve as a result of outer effects like the environment or subjection to fallacies. Having said that, when lots of people who live in an atheist material environment face crisis, this innate belief strengthen when they are compelled to believe in Allah and seek refuge and help from Him. The holy Quran confirmed this truth in many verses. Allah said: “And when harm touches you upon the sea, all unto whom ye cry (for succor) fail save Him (alone), but when He brings you safe to land, ye turn away, for man was ever thankless” verse 67, Sura 17. |
Q2:
I easily start arguing with mainly Salafi ideas which contradict true teachings of Islam, Specifically things like Allah has got hands and he does this or that. Are these people doing Kufr by their acts? |
A: The said ideas of the Salafis are not considered infidelity. It is however, some sort of ignorance. The intellect and the holy Quran indicate that almighty Allah is not a body and hence can not be limited by time and space. The almighty said:" There is no secret conference of three but He is their fourth, nor of five but He is their sixth, nor of less than that or more but He is with them where ever they may be" and He also said: "Nothing is as His likeness". |
Q3:
My Question is regarding Ismailis? What is their Ahkam in Our religion? Are they considered as non-believers? |
A: Whoever submits to the two witnesses then s(he) is a Muslim and not considered as a non-believer even if s(he) believes in false beliefs or certain misguidance. |
Q4:
Are the Imams (as) of ahlulbayte superior than prophets (as) of Allah? |
A: There were several texts indicate that the prophets (peace be upon them) were interceding on Almighty Allah by the five infallibles (The prophet, Imams Ali, hassan, Hussain and Fatima the daughter of the prophet). Other texts indicate that their glories were preceded the creations in glorifying the almighty. There is an indication that they are more superior to the rest of the creations. |
Q5:
Can one be considered a Shia if he does not say the third testimony in Azaan since it is testifying the believe in Imam Ali (as) as the Prophets (saw) successor? |
A: Shiasm is believing in the leadership – Imamah - of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the imams among his descendents. Athan could indicate this belief. |
Q6:
Did the Imams (as) claim to be infallible? |
A: There is no doubt that the followers of the Ahlulbyte (peace be upon them) based the belief in the infallibility of the imams (peace be upon them ) on solid sources, starting from Verse 33, Sura 33 and other texts that continued to refer to this issue directly and indirectly sometimes. As an example, it was reported in the Zyarat ul Jamiaa which was narrated by Imam Ali Alhadi in an authentic way: "Allah has guarded you from lapses and saved you from attractions (of life, Satan. etc)". |
Q7:
What is the aqeeda - belief of shiya? Does it differ from Sunni's aqeeda? |
A: The beliefs of Sunnis is not different than those of Shia with respect to monotheism or prophethood but the difference is in the concept of Imamate – the leadership of the nation of Islam after the death of the prophet – where the followers of the ahlulbyte believe in the imams of the ahlulbyte as the religious and the political leaders of the Muslim nation after the prophet as this is mentioned in a very clear and frank way in the tradition of theqalain that is reported in the books of traditions of Shia and Sunnis when the prophet said: "I leave among you the two weighty things, the book of Allah and my progeny, As long as you are attached to– ie following – them, you will never be misguided". |
Q8: Many people in our society have a Faith That Moula Imam Ali (A.S) is superior then Prophet Muhammad (Peace upon him & His Family) So Sir Kindly tell me what is true? |
A: The said accusation is a big fabrication and can not be accepted. There is no doubt in the narrations of the Ahlulbyte that the prophet (peace be upon him) is better than all mankind and the superiority of the Ahlulbyte is based on their relation to him and being the closest ever to him in their action and lifestyle.
It is enough to refer to this narration that Alkulaini reported to clear this fallacy:
“A man asked Imam Ali (Peace be upon him): When your lord existed?
Imam replied: "when he was absent so one could ask: when he existed".
The man then asked the Imam: O Prince of devotees, are you a prophet?,
Imam replied by saying: "Woe to you, I am only one of Mohamed’s slaves".

Q9: What is Islam’s attitude towards non Muslims? Do Islam and the Quran say that people who do not convert to Islam should be killed? What is your opinion? |
A: This is not but one of the way of falsifying the clear image of Islam because of odd actions of some Salafis and those who accuse others with infidelity by raising religious slogans that encourage killing of whoever disagrees with them even if they were Muslims. The relations between Muslims and the followers of other religions in Muslim countries were based on agreement and cohabitation. |
Q10: What's the rule regarding Sufism? Is it Haram (prophibted) |
A: It does not relate to the Ahlulbyte (Peace Be Upon Them) so it should be
avoided. |
